Teens these days!!!
Wednesday, April 11, 2007
Before having dinner yesterday, I tuned in on ETC and waited for the Tyra Banks Show. I totally LOVE that talk show, because they mostly talk about really sensible things. They do not just cater to females (as others think), but they are really informative and you will really see what's happening when you watch it.
Okay, back to the story. I know this entry's title's a bit weird. I might be bashing on teens (Well, including me.) But what I saw on the show was really disturbing. IMAGINE A 13-YEAR OLD DRESSING AND ACTING LIKE A SLUT! I 'm really concerned about why her parents don't control this child's behavior! She dresses too sexy for her age, wearing very short skirts and tops that show off her boobie! I'm 3 years older than her and I still don't have the guts and DO NOT WANT to dress up that way. Maybe the fact that she's an American matters a bit. People in the US are more liberated. Yeah! But there are chances that there's someone here in the Philippines who is actually like her! Sa dami ba naman ng tao sa pinas eh?!
The episode of the show was "Kids growing up too quickly." I was shocked and fascinated of what I saw because I didn't really think that there are cases like that of what I typed on the previous paragraph. Even children under 10 years old were also influenced to dress and act sexy. VERY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THEIR AGE. I remember when I was 8, the only thing I think of is buying another Barbie and a dress for her. At 9, I started becoming addicted to anime, imagine acting and saying the lines of Sailormoon. "Sa ngala ng buwan!" At 10, yeah, I was quite matured back then. But looking sexy didn't even enter my head. Even until now, I still don't wanna show off too much skin. Even going out wearing shorts isn't common to me. (Well, I don't have long legs and I don't want to show off my fat sausages. XD)ON FOCUS: I don't hate Beyonce. I actually love her! But young imature children tend to dress this way because since these are always seen in television, they think that it's the right mode of dressing. That it's the cool, hip and everyone should look like that. They do not think first and consider their age! My golly!?! Imagine an 8-year old wearing and posing like that of Beyonce. >__<Going back.. There are also child pornography issues discussed, and I really hate photographers who exploit on children! A 10-year old girl was scammed by this good-for-nothing, blackmailing and horny photographer. The girl was just thinking of making her dreams come true. The dream to become a model. Well, the offer was really TIGHT! Imagine earning $200 from a 1-day photoshoot. Saan ka pa? It's really tempting to accept it, right? (I guess even I would not think twice on accepting the offer. You'll have your dreams and at the same time earn big.) Her first shoot was just a normal girly and child-friendly shoot. But when the photographer called them again to schedule another photoshoot, things went out of control. The mother wasn't allowed to see her child during the pictorial. She didn't have any idea of what's going on. Meanwhile, the girl was asked to wear SEXY TWO-PIECES, THONGS, and really REVEALING CLOTHES. The photographer also commanded the girl poses which you can only see in porn magazines for men. I was really pissed off with that photographer! He's really a sh*t! After that tragedy, the girl suffered from some kind of trauma. Not only girls who dressed sexy were involved in the show. But also very young men whose mouths are full of dirt! I can't imagine an 11-year old and an 8-year old (not sure with this one), making comments on how hot girls are, how they like the boobies of these women on tv and how they look for girls with big butt! I don't even want to believe that they're doing these stuffs. But they admitted it on national television and this is for REAL.Truly, media plays a big role in the life of so much people. They influence us with almost everything in our lives. Maybe it has so many advantages, but there are much more cons than the pros. I don't wanna say this but media CAN BE a devil. Devil in disguise, to be more specific. They let you think that this thing is good, and that thing is hip, but really, they're just BI. Bad influence. Again, I'm not bashing or attacking media. Without it, there wouldn't be publications, tv shows and other things. But I'm pointing out to those GOOD-FOR-NOTHING people in the media. The ones who destroys media's image and put hell into the minds of people, especially to those young ones who are still confused and do not know yet what is right and what is wrong. There are also times that our dreams might put us in danger or to things we don't expect to happen. Just like what happened to the aspiring model who was scammed. I also aspire to be one, but I accept the fact that I'm NOT gonna be one. I don't wanna live a life full of issues. I still like to have a normal life. I avoid being scammed or exploited.. and to top it all, I DON'T HAVE THE REQUIREMENTS. lolx.. ^__^
Since I've already tackled child pornography.. I can't believe that one of my idols has actually been to this thing. Maybe you know her, if you have watched Kill Bill Vol.1, she played there, the highschool student who works for O-Ren Ishi (Lucy Liu). Okay, I'll not make this long. She's Chiaki Kuriyama. She also played the part of Gogo YubariChigusa in the Japanese movie, Battle Royale 1. How did I find it out? Well, I was telling my friend how I like Chiaki and how I wanna look like her. But instead of my friend commenting her beauty, he told me that this girl has posed half-naked. I wasn't gonna believe him, but when I searched for Chiaki's pictures on the net, I found this info and proof (pictures T__T) that she has been engaged in some child porn photo collection when she was 11! I can't blame her. This was her step to stardom 'cause she's famous now all over Japan. But not as a nude model anymore, she stopped that at 13 (I guess.) and she's pusruing modelling(cosmetics and fashion line) & acting now. Good for her. As for me, I guess it kinda turned me off to know what she's been through. >__<
Not only Chiaki started off with that kind of career. Even Vivian Hsu did! I don't know much about her. All I know is that she models, acts and sings, but I know most of you *maybe* know her by face. 'Cause she usually stars in Chinoveleas. Or Taiwan-novelas rather.
It's good that here in the Philippines, that kind of modelling (child porn) is not patronized. I don't think there's any activity here like those..Isn't it???Okay, I guess this entry's long enough even without the pictures. But I think I should post some pix here for it to be interesting to read. Boring 'pag all text di ba? Hehehehe.. ^__^NOTE: To read the full article of this from Tyra Banks Show, click this!
